The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (the Commission) informs all stakeholders (States, National Human Rights Institutions, International Organisations, Civil Society Organisations and other partners) that Ms Lindiwe Khumalo, Executive Secretary of the Commission has been appointed Clerk of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP). She has taken up her new post after having served our continent with dignity and mastery for several years.
The Commission offers her its sincere congratulations and thanks her for the immense work she has accomplished in promoting and protecting human rights.
Ms Abiola Idowu-Ojo will assume this function during this transitional period in accordance with the relevant applicable standards.
