PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE PROMOTION MISSION BY THE AFRICAN COMMISSION ON HUMAN AND PEOPLES’ RIGHTS TO THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA
The African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the Commission) wishes to inform the general public that it will be holding a Press Conference upon conclusion of its Promotion Mission to the Republic of South Africa from 03 to 08 September 2018.
Date: Saturday 08 September 2018
Venue: Sunnyside Park Hotel. Princess of Wales Terrace & Carse O'Gowrie Rd, Parktown, Johannesburg
Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm
The Commission’s Delegation, which will host the Press Conference, is composed of: Honourable Commissioner Solomon Ayele Dersso, the Commissioner Rapporteur for the Human Rights Situation in the Republic of South Africa and the Chairperson of the Working Group on Extractive Industries, Environment and Human Rights Violations in Africa; Honourable Commissioner Lawrence Murugu Mute, the Vice- Chairperson of the Commission and Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa; and Honourable Commissioner Remy Ngoy Lumbu, the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders.
