The Working Group on Indigenous Populations/Communities held its bi-annual meeting from 15 to 17 April 2012 in Banjul, The Gambia. The Report of the Congo Regional Sensitization Seminar on the Rights of Indigenous Populations/Communities in East and Central Africa was one of the documents discussed and finalized by the Working Group during such meeting. The Working Group also met with indigenous peoples' rights activists from Angola, Kenya, DRC and Mali, and discussed on the situation of indigenous peoples in those countries.
