This first report covers the period 1984-1992 and deals with:
- reception and dissemination of the Charter to the public, including the incorporation of the Charter into national law
- legislative, administrative and judicial measures taken to effect implementation of human rights and difficulties encountered in promoting them
- organisation and functioning of the Courts in Tanzania
- texts governing the judicial system
- the status of the judiciary
- a summary of the Constitution.
