Libya: 3rd Periodic Report, 2002-2005

This Report covers the period from 2002 to 2005 and consists of five major parts that represent a general context that responds to the requirements of the provisions of the African Charter. It outlines the broad aspects of the experience of the Great Jamahiriya in the field of human rights.

The five Chapters cover:

1. The geographic and demographic characteristics of the country
2. The political, administrative and judicial organisation
3. The issue of human rights
4. Protection and monitoring mechanisms
5. The realisation of the various rights stipulated in the Charter
