Part I is an introduction to Namibia, with particular attention to Demographic characteristics, General political structure and the General legal framework within which human rights are protected.
Part II contains a description of the substantive rights, recognised under relevant articles of the Charter.
This Report was compiled by the Ministry of Justice with inputs from members of the Interministerial Committee on Human Rights whose membership is drawn from staff of government ministries and other agencies and from the University of Namibia. Both the Legal Assistance Centre and the Human Rights Documentation Centre of the University of Namibia received the original draft for their comments.
