On 01 March 2024, the Country Rapporteur responsible for the Human Rights Situation in the Republic of the Sudan, and the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the Commission), transmitted a Joint Letter of Urgent Appeal to His Excellency Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan, regarding the Internet Outage in Republic of the Sudan and the Alarming developments in Al Fashir North Darfur.
