Press statement on the demise of H.E Ambrose Dlamini, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini

It is with deep sadness that the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the African Commission) learned about the passing of H.E Ambrose Dlamini, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

H.E. Ambrose Dlamini served as the tenth prime minister of Eswatini, holding the office from October 2018 until his untimely death on Sunday 13 December 2020.

The Commission, through Commissioner Alexia Amesbury, the Commissioner Rapporteur for the Kingdom of Eswatini, expresses its deep condolences to the family of Prime Minister Dlamini, and to His Majesty King Mswati III, the Government and the people of Eswatini.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.
