The Secretariat of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the Secretariat) is pleased to inform the general public that on the occasion of the 60^th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, taking place in Niamey, Niger, the following documents were launched on 8 May 2017:

• General Comment No. 4 on the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights: The Right to Redress for Victims of Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Punishment or Treatment (Article 5) (General Comment No. 4);
