Commission's Decision on the Merits
For these reasons,
166. The Commission declares that:
i. Articles 2, 3, 4, 5 and 16 9f the Charter arid Articles 2, 4 and 14(1) (b) (c) (f) and (2) (a) and (c) of the Maputo Protocol have not been violated;
ii. The right to an effective remedy and the right to enjoy the benefits of scientific progress have not been violated.
167. Consequently, the Commission rejects all the claims for compensation made by the Complainants.
