The Working Group on Indigenous Populations/Communities held its bi-annual meeting from 15 to 17 April 2012 in Banjul, The Gambia. The Report of the Congo Regional Sensitization Seminar on the Rights of Indigenous Populations/Communities in East and Central Africa was one of the documents discussed and finalized by the Working Group during such meeting. The Working Group also met with indigenous peoples' rights activists from Angola, Kenya, DRC and Mali, and discussed on the situation of indigenous peoples in those countries."
As an upcoming event please indicate that "The Chairperson of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations/Communities in Africa, Commissioner Soyata Maiga, and expert member of the Working Group, Mr. Zephyrin Kalimba, will undertake a follow-up mission to the Central African Republic from 11 to 21 May 2012. The Working Group undertook its first promotion mission to Central African Republic in January 2007
