State Parties to the African Charter
The African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights (African Charter) has been ratified by fifty-four (54) African Union (AU) Member States. The latest AU Member State to become a Party to the African Charter is the Republic of South Sudan, having ratified the Charter on 23 October 2013.
